Lift was born in Geneva as a series of events for people interested in big issues like technology, innovation and their implications on society. This year Lift started on May 5 and lasted for three days.
For some design students at HEAD, Lift meant one very big project, as it went from set design and furniture design to signage, graphic design and photography. That project lasted almost five months, becoming a sort of collective experience in the meanwhile.
I took many pictures, uploading them on this blog the day after, sometimes two or three days after the shots. What I tried to do has been using the blog as virtual space where the real connection among schoolmates involved in one particular project, could become everyday stronger and happier.
Thanks to: Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD), school director Jean-Pierre Greff, Carlo Parmigiani (Head of Interior Design section), Victor Durschei (Master co-ordinator), Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Frédéric Teschner (Master Espace et Communication invited professors), Alexandre Simian (Atelier Bois Technical assistant) Pascal Berger, Raphaelle Mueller (Technical assistants) Maxime Schoeni, Jean-Louis Boissier (Art Researcher and Theorist), Daniel Pinkas, Daniel Sciboz, Annelore Schneider (Media Design Teaching staff), Sylvie Reinhard, Laurent Bolli, Nicolas Nova (Lift staff), Laurent Finck (Lumen8), Nathaly Bauer (CICG Conferences Project Manager), my colleagues from the Master in Media Design and especially my classmates, for having given me the opportunity to keep this photo blog, by agreeing to be constantly photographed by me. Thanks to all those I forgot.

“… Known in techno-parlance as users, people ultimately define the success of all technological and entrepreneurial projects. Their approaches are unique, influenced by cultural and generational diversity. Let’s explore the myths and uncover the reality behind the “connected people“.
